Dear National Optimist and Sailing Club authorities, dear team leaders, dear coaches,
once more it is a great pleasure for me to invite you to the International Optimist Team Cup (OTC), hosted by the Potsdamer Yacht Club at Lake Wannsee, Berlin, Germany. The now 38th edition of the regatta will take place from Thursday, October 08th (team registration in the afternoon followed by team leader meeting) to Sunday, October 11th (final races and price giving ceremony), 2026.
Attached you will find the Official Invitation, the Notice of Race and the Registration Form for E-mail registration. Online registration protocol is available on the web site of the 2026 Optimist Team Cup at https://optiteamcup.de/.
Even if you do not have all the detailed information on the sailors participating in your team yet, you can send me an informal application to stefanweger@online.de or use the simple registration form at https://optiteamcup.de/online-registration to reserve a starting place for your team. Please be aware that the number of participating teams is limited to 16. Therefore, we advise you to contact us as early as possible in order to ensure your team a starting slot.
For all participating sailors we offer accommodation with families of the PYC from Thursday to Sunday. Links published on our web site will also show you a list of hotels for your convenience and potential options for chartering dinghies.
Teams should ideally be nominated in agreement with the respective national authorities and are limited to one team per country, with the exception of the PYC host team, the USA, and the team of Sweden as defending champions from last year.
Deadline for registration is September, 27th, 2026, midnight.
If entry fees are assigned via bank transfer until the 17th of September 2026, reduced rates apply.
